On Patrol Again

Greetings this evening from Issaquah, Washington, where the never-ending search for LBCs continues (in and around the other, er, primary reasons for my week in the Pacific Northwest).   Spied this ’73 MGB GT at a repair shop in town, now to find some Triumphs…

VICTORY!

The 56th Annual Forest Park Easter Concours, hosted by the Horseless Carriage Club of Missouri and incorporating the 8th Triumph-MG Challenge for the British Leyland Participation Trophy.

The results, in and around roaming thunderstorms and a lot of rain: SLTOA 21, MG Club 19. Each club has now taken the trophy four times.

Details in the May Exhaust Notes…yee-HAW!

Parking Lot Grand Prix

Yeah, running behind on this blog but lately I’ve been tied up with a lot of events plus newsletter production.

Having said that, on 9 May – in absolutely perfect weather – something like 60 people showed up for the initial Boeing Sports Car Club autocross of the season. The turnout included five from SLTOA: Adrian (BRZ), Creig (Corvette), John (Corvette), Lee (Miata) and Prez Steve (TR6…and don’t worry, we’ll have at least one more Triumph at the next event).  Everyone had a ball and as per usual, the boys from BSCC designed a really challenging and entertaining course.

Next event: Sunday 9 May, Family Arena

Back on the Road

Radiator’s replaced (FINALLY!), still have to trouble-shoot the clutch system and find a leak which slowly drains the master cylinder BUT, for now, I’m a happy camper.

The Boeing Sports Car Club autocross season commences this Sunday, Karl Schmitt’s called a pop-up drive followed by dinner for this Thursday night, and next weekend I’ll happily pump up the clutch and take the HSD to Cars & Coffee for the first time this year.

Life is truly good.
